cover types

1. Early Magazine Covers- Have a lot of hand drawings, also a lot of descriptive writing. The papers look old and kind of burnt look.  It has dates of events every where. The lettering fonts are like old English. Illustrations are in natural colors. The edges of each cover are folded and look like pirate note papers. The inside of these magnetizes were like newspaper.

2. The Poster Cover- Poster covers are more like events, like a boxing match, or a war or sports. Something to really catch the eye on society and whats happening now. Light colors thin papers. More about pictures then writing.

3. Pictures Married to Type- More text to grab the readers attention. Had nice pictures with lots of lettering and banners. Teen magazines became popular. Early 1800's and 1900's. The cover tells you what you are about to open up and read inside.

4. In the Forest of Words- large lettering detail pictures

magazine cover intro

On my magazine I should have an eye catching cover. My cover shouldn't be cluttered with a bunch of different ideads, it confuses the viewer. It should specify what my pictures are about. My cover should be a good, size of the screen, not to small or too big.
